How did you know Emily?: Friend of the family |
Hello Hollis Family and all the extended family!!! I just had to say hello to all of you and let you know that all of you are still in my prayers daily. I get to talk with Linda from time to time by email but it has been a while since I have spoken with some of you. Dawn and Eddie and Trey I am glad to hear that you had a great time skiing. Way to go Trey on that snowboard!!! Proud of you! I know that this date and the last few weeks have probably really been hard for you all and I have prayed daily for strength for all of you. Last year this time, I was decorating my Mama's birthday cake and this year she is celebrating her birthday in Heaven with my Daddy and our precious Emily and Jesus and so many other of our loves ones. Little did I know that would be the last birthday cake I would bake and decorate for her. It is hard to believe that our precious little angel has been gone from us a year ~ but then on the other hand it seems so much longer. I want all of you too know Jerry and I would love to be with all of you tonight but we have had company all week and they won't be leaving until tomorrow, but know we are there in our hearts! I am so thankful you all have chosen to keep Emily's site up and it just gives so much comfort to be able to continue to go there sometimes daily and sometimes weekly and see her smiling little face. Continue to hold fast to God's hand for comfort and to each other with the promise of knowing that yes indeed you will hold your precious Emily again one day! It is such a comfort to know that one day all of us that loves and that has accepted Jesus as our Savior will live forever together in Heaven as one "BIG" family. God bless each of you and take care! Lots of love from the mountain top! Charlotte and Jerry

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal... Love leaves a memory no one can steal! We thank God for the precious memories of Emily's sweet love.

Linda and Eddie Earl, I pray God will give the two of you as well as Dawn and Eddie and Trey much comfort today especially. Try to find the most precious memory that you have of your Emily and hold fast to it all day knowing that once again you will one day see her come running to you with that beautiful smile on that little face only this time she will not be sick like when she left you. I ask God to place a special peace around all of you today and in the days to come! Love, Charlotte |

Dear Dawn, Eddie & Family,
As spring fills the air, my thoughts went back to last year, as you all were spending your last days with your precious Emily. I pray this year as the butterflies return, you will begin to feel a peace that life is renewing itself and that each of you feel a renewed hope. God has given us each a life to live whether it is very short or quite aged, it is meant to be lived to the fullest. I pray this year will be joyful, happy and blessed beyond words for the family of Emily Hollis. As Easter approaches remember the special blessing that it brings to all Christians.
Happy Spring & Easter,
Faye Herring

Thank you Linda for your thoughfulness to respond. I'm praying that happiness will flood your dear son's home in the coming years. I understand their loss and it is hurtful beyond words. I ask you all to pray for my husband Bob, as he has been extremely ill in CCU for 6 days with pneumonia and septic shock. Finally yesterday he made a change toward recovery. Only by God's healing touch could this have been possible due to all his health problems. I am so humbled before the Lord. Bob in time, we are praying will be well. My love to all the Hollis/Rowe family. Love, Faye |

Hi Dawn, It seems like it's been forever since we have seen you guys. We thought about Emily over the holidays. Morgan was given a beautiful butterfly that is in our livingroom to remind her of such a sweet angel. We just wanted you to know we miss you all. Hope Trey enjoyed the snow, Morgan sure did. Love, Amy & Morgan |

Dear Dawn,
I can't tell you enough how often that me and my family pray for you and yours. Emily really touched everyone's life that she came in contact with. I can't imagine what you are going through, however, God will remain with all of you. I know there have to be times when you are just worn out and at one of those times I would love to bring you guys dinner. I know you are probably thinkng you don't need that, but I would really like to. Also, maybe I could get Trey one afternoon for a little while and let he and Thomas play at the park up the road. Please do not feel pressured, but here is my phone number - 619-9742.
May God keep your family in his loving arms today and always. Also, let Emilys beauty shine down on the world for it to be a better place. God always let her family know she is right their with them every moment of every day. God's Peace.

Dear Stephanie, Eddie & Emily's Family,
I hope Christmas was a sweet time for all of you. Even in your loss there were angels watching over you. Too cold for tender butterflies, so Angel Emily was close around. An older dear friend told me right before Christmas a thought that remains in my mind and I'll share with you. She said Faye, you know we all are in the great physician God's waiting room, awaiting His healing touch. My friend is correct, whether it be healing on this side of heaven or healing for eternity, we are in His waiting room. Our loved ones were blessed with eternal health, but we are still faithfully waiting. God wants us to live joyfully and fully as we wait, because we have a gift given to us that is something to rejoice about! This world will take our body, but we will never die. Emily is more alive now than ever before. This is Emily's Story and God's promises and healing touch for His believers.
God Bless you all in the New Year. May you feel his touch of peace, joy, love and amazing grace.
With Love,
Faye Herring |

How did you know Emily?: Friend of the family |
Hello Hollis/Hinnant Family! I trust that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and that all those precious memories of our Precious Angel Emily brought comfort to each of you. I had been thinking of all of you so much through the last few days and on our drive home today from Julie's I thought, "I have to go on line when we get home and see if there is an update or any word from them - how wonderful to have an update"!!! THANKS
Julie and I were talking Christmas Day as we made our many phone calls wishing this one and that one a Merry Christmas, that it seemed so strange to see Mama's phone number still in our phones. I just can't bring myself to take it out yet. She has a video of Mama from last Christmas on her cell phone and it shows Mama saying "Merry Christmas Julie", Love Granny. We must have played it a million times over the last 3 months. We then started talking about all of you and wondering how in this world you are were coping with this being the first Christmas without your precious Angel. We then got tickled and said we bet Mama and Emily were looking down and laughing at us saying. "look at them silly things trying to talk and cry at the same time". and they probably were. But as you said in your update, one day each of our families will be whole and complete again! Praise God for that.
Well to each of you, take care, and please know that you are all still in my prayers daily. I love each one of you and you will all always be very special to all of us!!! Have a great and blessed New Year in 2009!!! Lots of love from the mountain top!!! Charlotte & Jerrry |
