Happy 4th of July Dawn, Eddie, Trey and Extended Family!!! I pray that you all are having a nice holiday with family, friends and loved ones! I know our little Angel Emily is looking down and smiling at all of you this very minute and talking about the grand time that all of you had last year! Boy talk about "fireworks" ~ don't you know she will have the best fireworks of all this year!  I can only imagine the mixed emotions that all of you experience every time a holiday comes around, but remember to hold fast to all the grand times that you had with your precious Em and know that she is right there by your side even thought you might not be able to see her. Watch closely for her so you can let us know how she appeared this time!!!  We have all of you in our prayers!!! and send all our love from the mountain top to everyone at the Coast!!! Dawn, Eddie, and Trey - I was rereading your latest update and some of the guestbook entries and was reminded of something I wanted to share with you. On Mother's Day morning, a friend of mine lost her nephew after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Matt was a vibrant 14 year old, in love with life, and crazy about the Carolina Panthers. After spending much of his young life confined to a wheelchair, he was promoted to the Angel's Football Squad! While at the funeral home for his visitation, I was talking to a friend and reading cards on the flowers when I noticed a peace lily. Our conversation completely stopped when I saw a beautiful butterfly on one of the leaves of this flower. It was blue and black, like the ones I've seen my mom post to Emily so many times. Immediately, I thought of Emily and giggled out loud, which brought strange looks from some of my friends. All I had to say was "Emily" and they all knew what I was thinking! Please know that we continue to lift you all up in prayer and hope that you how much Emily was loved, even by those whom she never met. Peace

Hey Hollis Family,
Just thinking of you all and Emily tonight and thought I'd check the website. I haven't visited the site since just a few days after Emily received her angel wings. It is hard even for me to read the messages, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for you all. VBS week at BVBC brought back many good memories of Emily and your family. Trey, it was good to see you right there having fun with "the boys". (All 20-some of them that were your age!) Eddie, Dawn and Paw-Paw Henry, you all have been so strong through all of this. I thank you for your messages, your friendship and your boldness in declaring the Lord as your source of strength. Come over anytime and let's go fishing! Love you all.

It was so great to see an update. I have really been thinking about all of you. You are in my prayers daily. Even though I didn't know any of you personally, I came to love all of you through Angel Emily's website. I pray that God will continue to give you strength and will allow you to feel Emily's presence all around you. I truly belief that he will. All of you continue to be such a strong witness to everyone. One day we will all be one big family in Heaven. God just wanted Angel Emily and all those other precious little Angels before he wanted us. They certainly are having a great time together in Heaven. And soon and very soon I think we will join them and WOW! what a reunion that will be.

Dawn,
I lost my mom this past Christmas Day to Uteran Cancer.
To this day I miss her. My heart goes out to you as I know how it feels after so many days of being a caregiver how our emotions well up. I can't imagine though if it were Heather. God has trully used you and Emily to touch hundreds of people for His glory and honor.....your reward in heaven will be tremendous!!!! Our eternal life is what counts as you know. I look up to you Dawn and your strenghtn...God has a wonderful future for you!!! I love you.

Hi my name is Tamara and i lost a cousin to cancer a few years ago. I don't you or your family but i felt l just had to send a comment to let you know that you are so strong and your family will always have Emily with you, she is a very special person and after reading everything it broke my heart to read everything about her her spirit will forever be with Trey and the rest of the family. I wish you and your family the best of luck and many praises to you. May you all remain blessed and remeber to keep your head up.

I have a daughter named emily who suffered a traumatic brain injury 12 years ago and just happened to search on the name emily and came upon your site which is both uplifting to emily's short lived life and a deeply felt loss in my heart that i never met her because i can feel the joy she brought to everyone she touched. she is still touching us. love to all of you. thank you for sharing emily.

Heyy everyone,
i am thankful for u posting your feelings on the page. She is a person we will never forget.
