Dear Dawn, Eddie, Trey and all the extended family! Thank you so much for this update! I cannot imagine how hard it must be for you to go to Em's site let alone to post all you all are feeling, but again "THANKS"!!! Please know we have not forgotten any of you and continue to lift each one of you up in prayer daily. Isn't our wonderful God awesome in that he let's Emily still come to visit you all just when you need it the most. I have to share with you what happened to me on Wednesday afternoon. I was outside after getting home from work watering my flowers. I have one section that is in full bloom and there must have been 10 yellow and brown butterflies on the flowers. All of a sudden Jerry said look at the butterfly there. You will never believe me when I tell you that it was black and blue. I just keep watching it and it kept flying around and around. I told Jerry that is our little Emily butterfly  . He knew about all the blue butterflies I use to send her. I did not think about it being the 18th at that time. I will email you a photo of it as soon as I get them down loaded off my camera. I think it is so wonderful that she visits so many of us that learned to love her so much. How can we ever think all of you for sharing this precious angel with us? As Deanie said, she has made such a lasting impression on so many lives that will never be the same. I look forward to the day we will all be together in heaven running through the beautiful green fields with our "Angel Emily"! Tell Trey that I am going to pray real hard that Em comes to visit with him real soon in a very special way! Keep the faith and keep on looking for those special visits, they will continue for as long as you look and wait for them! God bless all of you! With lots of love, Charlotte & Jerry

Hi Dawn, Eddie and Trey,
Thanks for the update on all of you. I know it has been hard for you, Em was and still is a very special daughter. So many times over the past 8 weeks I've checked this website because it had become a vital part of my life as well as other people. But just as you have had to adjust, we have had to adjust, all in God's plan. We will never forget the little girl that touched so many lives thru her journey, only thru FAITH IN GOD will we be able to have the strength to turn that page in our book of life and continue to the next page and to the the next chapter. God and only God has a way of helping us if we trust HIM. I pray for you and your family that HE will give you the strength and courage to see and remember the good memories/times that you shared with Em, because that is what makes up Em, that beautiful smile and personality that only she had. God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave you/us Em, it was to show us even a small child can have the power to change lives and help us realize that Eternity is just a breath away. What a testimony for such a small one to know one glorius day someone can say "There is Em and she touched my life thru her journey of life", guess what? I will be one of those.
Remember one thing, Someone at White Lake Loves each one of you very much.

Dawn,Eddie,& Trey, Just wanted to let you'll know I pray for you each day. Just about everyday something happens that makes me think about Emily. What a blessing she was and still is. Dawn I just wanted you to know that I really enjoy talking to your mom and dad. They are such nice people. You and Eddie are very lucky to have such good and kind parents. If you ever need me don't hesitate calling. God is so good! I am blessed to have you all for friends.

How did you know Emily?: I recently met Emily's Grandfather Henry
|
I just want to leave a brief note as to how special it was for me to meet Emily's Grandfather Henry. I answered a sales call to show him a sunroom the other day and ended up having my heart touched by a little girl I never even met. The strength that Henry showed and by his words his daughter, son in law, and grandson have all been showing can only come from God. It was obvious from the moment I met him that he was a kind and loving man but it didn't take long for me to see the pain that he was dealing with. I was moved by his ability to keep his spirits up while still grieving such a catastrophic loss. Instead of accepting my compliment of his ability to deal with this loss he gave the credit to God and told me that Dawn, Eddie and Trey are the real troopers and I must say I agree. As a proud father of 3 beautiful boys and my youngest being just 2 1/2 years old I can't even fathom loosing a child. I only pray that if the Lord ever decided to take them home before I was ready to see them go that I would have that same strength.
I told this to Henry and I'll write it now Trey is on my heart. Maybe it's because I have all boys and I was the only boy in my family growing up with 2 sisters but my heart really goes out to Trey. I will pray for you all but I really feel moved to keep him especially in my prayers and I am going to have my sons include him in their prayers as well. We will continue to do so faithfully for some time knowing that it is going to take a long time for those that were so close to her to fully accept losing her.
Just remember we only lost her for a while. She will be waiting for her big brother (no matter how long it takes) and that reuinion will last an eternity.
PRAISE GOD!!!

Steve, I just read your note on our precious Emily's site. I still visit our little Angel's site each day as old habits are hard to break. For almost 2 years that is what I did each day as soon as I got to work. This was indeed a very special child and her whole family and extended family is one of the greatest that has ever been. Our awesome God knew exactly what He was doing when he gave our "Angel Emily" to Dawn and Eddie and Trey. They have all set an example of faith for each of us to live by daily no matter what might come our way. I wish you could have met our precious Emily before God promoted her and gave her angel wings, but by your message I think you will see her one day also! |

Continuing to lift you up in thoughts and prayers. I pray every day Emily's memory grows sweeter, if that is possible, as you adored her. I pray work and the busyness of life and family fill the empty spaces. Nothing can take your daughter's place, but those wonderful memories of good times are so precious and you'll cherish and protect them, just as you did Emily while she was with you. Remember laughter is good for the soul and body, too. Emily will always enjoy hearing laughter from her family. May the rawness of your experience this past two years, give way to a feeling of acceptance, the importance of every day and God's Amazing Grace.

I am so glad that you guys shared those stories with me becuase it touched me. it really did. i am so glad she is having fun in heaven. one time she is a butterfly then she is a cetrpillar wow. that must be so cool to be diffrent animals. she should try being a lil kiity wouldnt that be so cute. well thanks you for everything you did to make emily live life as full as she could. you guys are still in my prayres thanks.

 Hello Dawn, Eddie, Trey and family, Pray that each of you are still finding comfort in letting our precious Heavenly Father carry you as your heart heals. Thanks for the email Dawn and Eddie. Yes, we do still indeed have our "Emily Star" that appeared that Sunday night. I am sorry to say that my little hummingbird has gone to visit else where.  But I know "Miss Em" will be back in some form. Jerry & I planted a beautiful pink hydrangea in the yard on Monday in memory of our precious Emily. I had been talking about wanting to get a tree of some type and planting it in her memory. So instead of a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day Jerry gave me a pink hydrangea (since pink was one of her favorite colors) knowing I could plant it. I will take a picture of it and send it to you. I pray that you had a wonderful Mother's Day with Trey and all the wonderful memories of your Emily. Wanted to let you know I have gained a great friend from Em's website. Deanie and I are becoming wonderful friends as we email back and forth. I can't wait to met her in person. I hope you continue to feel your Emily's presence in many different ways and I know you will if you watch closely! We continue to lift all of you up in prayer and send our love to everyone!
