Not feeling well

Filed under: — sho at 10:46 pm on Friday, November 17, 2006

OK Emily supporters, we need some heavy praying!  Emily is really not feeling well.  I stopped by to check on her this afternoon and missed that big smile of hers, as she was sleeping.  The fever that was gone came back after getting home from Duke, low grade, but enough to make her very tired, sleepy and not eating or drinking.  She is almost dehydrated and Dawn is trying to pump pedialyte into her.  She hasn’t eaten enough to feed a bird.  Dr. “G”, her Duke Oncologist, sent her to her Wilmington Pediatrician on Thursday for some extra testing at the hospital to try and determine the cause of the fever.  Thus far all tests at Duke & Wilmington are showing no reason for it.  The fever is low grade but is taking a toll on her frail little body and if she doesn’t get rehydrated, well, they will have to return to Duke for IV fluids.  So, PLEASE PRAY that the fever goes away and stays away.  With her chemo scheduled to start 11/29 she must be prepared for it and healthy as possible.  While praying, please say an EXTRA PRAYER for Dawn and Eddie as they are terribly worried.
