Just a note to let everyone know that Emily & family have returned from camp. Emily is due to start another round of chemo beginning Monday, 7/30. Hopefully Dawn will have an update soon about their family camp adventure at Camp Debbie Lou. Everyone is most anxious to hear about Emily and I’m sure when they get settled back at the apt. we’ll all get to hear all about it! Until then, Keep the Faith!!!!!!

Wanted to send a note thanking everyone for checking in on Emily and for your prayers. We both read your messages everyday. Now she is ready to fish with Carson, and Cheerlead for the Topsail Pirates with Mallory, and wants to know what movie Adelaide is going to see. She is ready to see Kaylee and Casey since they were out of town on vacation when the girls were all together at the beach house. Hope to have a beach day together soon!
Emily is sore this morning and having a hard time standing up and sitting down. she will have the needle access through the weekend and Monday when we arrive back at Duke. Having the needle in may cause her to be more sore and she cannot bend over much. She will not be able to get into the pool this time due to the sites healing. I think when we get there she will be ready to play and not think about being sore.
We start chemo on Monday—Friday and looking forward to the concert on Sat night. I will try to take some pictures. Not sure of the seating or if we will see him to take a picture together, but I sure will let you know if we do!! She is ready to see and hear Kenny sing.
Eddie and Trey came late this afternoon , after Eddie got off of work so we can all ride together tomorrow to Camp Debbie Lou. As the plan looks for now, we will be at Duke for the next 3 weeks from July 30 to August 26th. Glad we had that week at the beginning of July. Everyone have a great weekend.

We have a very excited Emily! Surgery went well this a.m. to replace the port. Her tummy is hurting so she doesn’t feel well right now, 
but is back at the apartment resting comfortably with a BIG SMILE on her face! 
Upon returning to the apartment, Dawn received a call from the Tug McGraw Foundation. EMILY IS GOING TO SEE KENNY CHESNEY on Saturday night, August 4 in Raleigh!!!!!!!!!!!! 
She is excited!!! It is so amazing how folks are so willing to fulfill wishes and dreams for these children. Emily is truly blessed! I have already given strict orders that many pics are to be taken and a family pic with Kenny Chesney would make a wonderful Christmas card for everyone, don’t you think???
Emily will return to the hospital on Thursday a.m. to get her dressing/incision checked before heading to Camp Debbie Lou. She has her cowgirl hat & boots ready and waiting to wear at camp and to the concert. Pray that she gets plenty of rest tonight and tomorrow in preparation for her camp trip. She is really looking forward to her family enjoying this camp together!
