“Homie Home”

Emily certainly had a busy time this past week at Duke. She finished her last radiation treatment on Thursday. That was followed by labs most of the afternoon. Friday she had another Reservoir Flow Study and scan. Saturday morning she had another scan and then hit the road headed home! Emily & Dawn made it home in time to stop by the park and watch Trey and his football team play football. YEAH Trey!

For now it looks like Emily is home for a couple of weeks while they wait to hear about her scan results and the possibility of heading to NY. It takes about two weeks for the radioactive material to get out of her system and this must happen before she could receive additional treatment in NY. Until such time, Emily plans to be at home where she can play, visit school, go to Trey’s football games and do all the natural things little girls do! Eddie, Dawn, Trey & Emily are thrilled to all be home together and under one roof with normal day to day activities! There’s no place like home!!!

I’ll keep you updated!

Love,
Stephanie
