Port change /Chemo temporarily stopped
Emily and I are back in Durham, and sending an update from last Thursday. There were problems with her port during labs on Thursday. 
Dye tests and x-rays done on Friday show the port needs to be replaced. Monday we have pre-op appointment, labs and radiation treatment. I am not sure if she will have surgery Monday or Tuesday. Saturday she was feeling bad with a headache and vomiting during the morning. She spent most of the day on the sofa. Sunday she slept late and no headache. Emily is ready to stay home for a while and asks me “when will we be able to stay home for ever?” She packed a box of crafts, and did well on the ride back to Durham, we only had to stop once for food. They have discontinued the oral chemo for now, due to low platelet counts, until radiation treatments are completed. The last radiation treatment will be Thursday. 
Glad to be back on-line, and will try to get back on schedule with regular updates. Thank You all for the messages with prayers and emails.
