Guardian Angel
Emily is surely a Guardian Angel today for our friend, Iris Maley. We ask that everyone take a moment and say a prayer for Iris as she is presently headed to DUKE for her lung transplant. They will not know until they are almost ready to do the surgery, if the lung is compatible, but for now, all appears good! Please pray for her peace and safe travel as her son, Russell, is driving her up there now. They got the call about 2:00 and hurried out the door and onto I-40!
Iris has always been a strong prayer partner for Emily and helped us anytime she could. Her son, Russell, is on our Emily’s Encouragers Relay Team and Russell is the one that organized all the sound/video efforts for Emily’s Celebration of Life service. I know that Emily is helping watch over them now and will guide them through the halls at Duke. We will keep you updated as we know information. I knew that everyone checks Emily’s website and that we could get the word out to folks for prayer quickly this way. Thank you for continuing to visit her website. It will not be taken off the internet for years to come, we hope. So check it regularly! Emily would want you too!
